A Morning are you

A Morning are you.

Beyond one million days and equally nights

Into the root of a long day

You are a morning

Your face is

The biggest surprise of that day

Of which day you hold the last wish

Of my coming back

These both

Are contrasting directions

My ‘presence’ somewhere

And ‘coming back’ of mine

Between these two directions

There is that dream of

Bygone days and missing nights

Because of which

Beyond one million days and equally nights

You are a morning

One such morning in which

Children would be bathing

The bathed hair of

Bathed women

Would scatter a web

And a color all over

And I, like that spider

Will recognize my sparkling yarns,

Beyond one million days and nights

I’ll think about

That what more I have to say to you

In your unique light

Many lost faces

Will shine immediately

Many fields filled up with water

Growing paddy from heart

Will rise

Like a little amount of salt in the dough

Your memory

Would fill me up with taste

On the lips of revolving earth

Beyond one million days and equally nights

Some words must be wondering

Into the root of a long day

Where you are a morning

Again a small

Glowing morning

To The Ever-flowing River

Both the banks of ever-flowing river of consciousness Are both the ends of  All this of the existence, Not aloof they remain ever in the voyage One end of the matter And of consciousness another! We not ever may touch, The same water again in the Ever-flowing river as of the river of Being It keeps on changing ever and ever  To the one end is the knower And the known is another end  From the surface to the Fathomless bottom Only pervades is the river alone  The river of the Only knowledge, Truth  Envelops the known end the knower  At the boundryless field Of the silence of no-mind With a constant hammering of  The I into I  And both the ends disappear Remains is the ever flowing river  Of the One, sole river of knowledge At the end of the journey as a flame rises above, By the nature of its intrinsic;  Shrinks the One end of the self  And merges to remain none  To the other end of the Self...

Transcending Borders

Transcending Borders   Narendra Singh Negi and the Ethos of Romanticism Narendra Singh Negi, a poetic voice resonating through the gorgeous valleys of the Uttarakhand Himalayas, exemplifies the Romantic sensibility in a manner that transcends mere physical landscapes. His songs and poems, much like the European Romantics and American Transcendentalists, echo a longing for transcendence; an existential wish to connect profoundly with nature, humanity, and the cosmos. What sets Negi apart is his use of the vernacular tongue, drawing from the everyday life of shepherds, grass reapers, and villagers, blending the simplicity of the life of hill folk with the profound depth of Romantic thought. Negi’s songs and poems, akin to the poetic expressions of Romantic poets like Wordsworth, Keats, and Robert Frost, reflect an unfathomable reverence for nature. His lyrics whole-heartedly celebrate the feelings of love with a deep exploration of the human condition. Yet, h...
